New Challenger Exchange Set to Launch in Texas
TXSE Group, backed by financial giants BlackRock and Citadel Securities, plans to launch the Texas Stock Exchange (TXSE) in Dallas. With $120 million raised from over a dozen investors, TXSE aims to rival New York's dominant exchanges, such as NYSE and Nasdaq. Expected to commence operations in early 2025, TXSE will file for registration with the SEC this year and host its first listing in 2026, enhancing market liquidity and efficiency for U.S. investors.

AI Giants Under Antitrust Fire
U.S. regulators are launching antitrust investigations into Microsoft, OpenAI, and Nvidia over concerns about potential monopolistic practices in the rapidly growing AI industry. The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and the Department of Justice (DOJ) are dividing responsibilities, with the FTC probing Microsoft and OpenAI's dominance in large language models, while the DOJ will scrutinize Nvidia's control over AI-related semiconductors. This move follows significant investments and partnerships, such as Microsoft's $13 billion investment in OpenAI and its acquisition of talent from Inflection AI. The probes aim to ensure fair competition and prevent the AI market from being dominated by a few major players.

Who’s the owner of Moon? The New Space Race Heats Up
The race to dominate the Moon is intensifying as nations and private companies vie for resources and strategic positions. Recent lunar missions by China, India, and Japan, alongside NASA's plans for permanent bases and private ventures like Intuitive Machines, highlight this growing competition. However, this modern space race revives the debate over lunar ownership, challenging the principles of the Outer Space Treaty and potentially injecting terrestrial politics into space exploration.

Catch the Rare Strawberry Moon This June"
This June promises a celestial treat as the Strawberry Moon coincides with the summer solstice. On June 21, this full moon will shine brightly in the night sky, peaking just after 9 p.m. ET. Named by Algonquin tribes for the strawberry harvest season, this moon holds special significance as it is the first full moon to fall within 24 hours of the summer solstice since 1985, and it won't occur again until 2042. The low positioning of the moon on the horizon during this time will enhance its size and color, making it appear larger and more vibrant than usual. So, mark your calendars and prepare for a spectacular view that ushers in the start of astronomical summer (Almanac.com) (FOX Weather) (SciTechDaily).
